We have an exciting position of Support Analyst based in Redditch.
The Support Analyst role is to is the first point of contact for all IT related incidents/issues and requests so an analyst is responsible for providing 1st/2nd Line service and systems/technical support to the business.
The analyst provides advice and guidance on all incoming queries/incidents, and ensures these are logged and progressed in accordance with department guidelines and procedures as well as working on key projects and supporting day to day applications.
You will work as part of the IT team and your duties will include:
Key Responsibilities and Duties
A good technical knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 10, Mac OS
Provide support and guidance to personnel with regards IT equipment and the company’s services/applications
Troubleshoot desktop and system problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software
Provide exceptional Service support to the business, Provide solution(s)/work around(s) to incidents and Problems
Resolve incoming incidents on the first call, wherever possible, or ensure they are accurately logged
Establishing a good working relationship with the business and 3rd party’s
Strong analytical/problem solving abilities, especially in relation to continual service improvement
Good knowledge of SQL/Reporting/Query Skills.
Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems
Assist in creation of system design and functional specifications for new development projects
Understand and learn industry best practices in data and application integration
Produce and maintain excellent documentation
Perform any other duties that me be reasonably required of your relevant role by the company.
Experience working with a mixed network (Linux, Windows, VMWare)
Able to travel to remote SP offices and St-Ives Sites.
Experience and/or knowledge of MySQL/SQL
Active Directory administration.
Exchange 2007/2010 administration
Experience supporting a Citrix XenApp farm administration
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Network trouble shooting,
TCP/IP and general WAN/ LAN trouble shooting
Support, maintain and develop in our SaaS based application
Support, maintain bespoke internal applications
Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2013
OS X El Capitan
Networking:TCP/IP, Cisco IOS, CheckPoint firewall.
Services: DHCP, DNS, SMTP
Database: MySQL, MS SQL Server.
